The Solution
Audiolink now has a rental pool in excess of 25,000 Motorola Solutions radios:
And there were some last-minute changes filming the new Bond film. However, this posed no issues to Audiolink, who has the capacity, both in terms of hardware and a dedicated, experienced team, to deliver and programme radios in very short timeframes. Andrew Morgan, Director at Audiolink, explains: “We’ve recently boosted our radio pool with a substantial number of new radios from Motorola Solutions in response to an increase in film industry funding. And, with over 25,000 radios in our hire fleet, we know we can provide all the radios needed to a significant number of simultaneous productions on the scale of Bond, whilst still providing an optimal service.”
A service bespoke to each location’s needs:
This service included testing and programming radios to specific user groups and channels, ensuring local licences and frequencies were approved, and deploying repeaters for wide-area communications, as well as supplying a range of mobile phones and Wi-Fi dongles to suit each location. Working from as far afield as Jamaica to the Faroe Islands with such large numbers of radios, it was essential that each individual radio or other device worked as it needed to when it was unpacked on set.
