Ten years later (and ten years ago) the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, hit the big screen. Since then, audiences around the world have been enjoying the Fantastic Beasts spin-off films.

Celebrating 20 years of Harry Potter
Audiolink has provided communications solutions for all the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.
When Warner Bros took over Leavesden Film Studios in 1999 for the filming of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Audiolink was awarded the contract to supply radios for the production. Audiolink consequently put in a repeater system, which – with various upgrades – has been in situ ever since and is used by Audiolink whenever they are supplying radios at the venue.
At that time neither Warner Bros nor Audiolink were aware of all that would follow; and 20 years later Audiolink was still providing communications to Warner Bros at Leavesden for the latest wizarding instalment, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, scheduled for release in April 2022.
Evolving technology
The technology Audiolink supplies has evolved hand in hand with the films, from the likes of Motorola Solutions GP300 radios and Nokia phones, to the latest in Motorola Solutions radios, iPhones and BlackBerry devices. Audiolink has now provided well over 5,000 radios to the franchise for filming at Leavesden and on location, at sites such as the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Lacock, Fort William, Durham, Harrow, King’s Cross, The Strand, London Zoo, Alnwick Castle and Christ Church College, Oxford.
A successful collaboration
The Harry Potter franchise collaboration has been hugely successful and Audiolink regularly supplies radios and mobile communications to other Warner Bros UK productions.
