Audiolink has recently won a prestigious award at the Motorola Solutions dealer conference. The accolade was presented to Audiolink Sales & Marketing Manager Alistair McCardle in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of Motorola Solutions launching its MOTOTRBO™ Professional Digital Two-Way Radio System. Audiolink received the award to recognise that it was the first company globally to deploy a MOTOTRBO system.
Audiolink successfully installed that system, ten years ago, at the designer shopping outlet centre Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, UK. The shopping centre had been using a Motorola Solutions analogue radio system when it decided to upgrade to a MOTOTRBO system comprising DP3400 and DP3600 radio models and DR3000 repeaters. The outlet upgraded to MOTOTRBO to improve the quality and capacity of audio communications, as well as to introduce functionality such as GPS, lone worker, data transfer and voice recording.
Audiolink is still partner to Gunwharf Quays, offering support and maintenance of this original MOTOTRBO system to this very day.
